The How Come


Hi, my name is Liviu and I want to share with my journey to founding SparksWise.
It began with an insight I had back in 2010, during my trip abroad (also my first airplane flight) from Romania to Japan which stuck to me until this day.
As the aircraft touched down on the Tokyo Narita Airport, I was struck by a simple yet profound thought: "After all, this is still Earth."
This insight reminded me that despite geographical distances and different cultural forms and cultural productions there is a feeling of commonality we all share that stems from living under the same sky, the same sun, and having the same earth beneath our feet. This moment sparked my later interest to study philosophy and anthropology, and ultimately shaped my career in working with people as a professional expat and first generation migrant.

A lasting impression "We're all part of the same world"
Met with a headhunter who gave a keynote at the Faculty of Philosophy at the University of Bucharest.
Thanks to the MasterMind scholarship from the Flemish Government, I had the opportunity to pursue my study and interest for anthropology, being immersed in the different interviewing techniques and became equipped me to investigate and write about social and cultural phenomena from first-hand experience.
I began my career as a headhunter in IT, then transitioned into HR, and more recently I was introduced to the hiring of deskless workers in the industrial and production sectors. Additionally, prior to founding SparksWise, I gained experience working for a business school as a staff member in the People & Organisation area.
